SGI-USA representative receives Hoffman Estate proclamation
Seven suburban cities in Illinois, USA–Hoffman Estates, Schaumburg, Rolling Meadows, Rantoul, Danville, Champaign and Streamwood–have proclaimed April 24 as “Daisaku Ikeda Day” in recognition of his leadership of the SGI that advances peace founded on the humanistic philosophy and ideals of Nichiren Buddhism. The SGI-USA members of the greater Chicago area have continued to promote nonviolence and beautification projects in their local communities.
